Scope and Topics

CAIP2005 is the eleventh in a series of biennial international 
conferences devoted to all aspects of Computer Vision, Image Analysis 
and Processing, Pattern recognition and related fields. The scientific 
program of the conference will consist of keynote addresses, contributed 
papers presented in a single track, and posters. The proceedings of the 
conference will be published by SPRINGER VERLAG in the series "Lecture 
Notes on Computer Science."

Venue

The conference will take place in the Rocquencourt suburb of PARIS in 
the new Jacques-Louis Lions conference room within the INRIA 
Rocquencourt research centre on Sept. 5-Sept. 9, 2005. The INRIA 
Rocquencourt research centre is located at a short drive of the historic 
Versailles castle. The center can be easily reached by train or by bus.

number of people be interested, a free daily shuttle between Paris and 
Rocquencourt could be provided. If you are interested, please tick the

Registration fees do not include lodging and travel expenses. Some

For any problem as well as for additional information, a conference 
office will operate during the conference (days).


Conference language

All papers will be presented in English.


Paper submission and review process

Prospective authors are asked to prepare a full paper and submit it 
electronically. The paper should consist of 4-8 pages in A4 format and 
should conform to the style guidelines  
outlined on the CAIP2005 website. LaTeX style sheets (preferred), MSWord 
templates and detailed information  on 
the submission process can be found on the CAIP2005 
http://acivs.org/caip2005/ website.

/Paper submission implies that one of the authors will present the paper 
if it is accepted./ Also, accepted papers will not be published in the 
proceedings if none of the authors registers, or if the payment fee is 
not received in due course.

All submissions will be reviewed by at least 2 members of the Program 
Committee; additional reviewers will be consulted if necessary. The 
papers should provide sufficient background information and should 
clearly indicate the original contribution. They should state and 
discuss the main results and provide adequate references.


Conference proceedings

Accepted papers will be published by SPRINGER VERLAG in the series 
"Lecture Notes on Computer Science."

CAIP2005 Registration

Due to security policy, the number of seats at the conference is 
strictly limited: thus, early registration is strongly recommended. The 
details of the registration procedure will be outlined on this website 
at a later time.

Fees will be fully returned for any written cancellation received up to 
8 days before the conference. No refund will be made in respect of 
cancellation received after this date.

Registration fees include free access to any exhibition within the 
conference, a copy of the conference proceedings, lunches and coffee 
breaks; a social program will also be available. Registration fees do 
not cover lodging and travel expenses.
