ICVGIP 2006 5th Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics & Image

ICVGIP has been organized every two years since 1995. The unique
feature of the conference is to bring together researchers in the
academic institutions and R&D laboratories working in Computer Vision,
Graphics and Image Processing and to use this as a forum to exchange
views and ideas in these areas of current research. ICVGIP 2006 is
the 5th conference in this series.
Authors are invited to submit original papers reporting research
contributions, practices and experiences, or novel applications.
Papers are sought in all areas of computer vision, computer graphics
and image processing. The topics of interest include (but are not
restricted to) the following -

The review process this time is double blind. All accepted papers will
be published in a special issue of the Lecture Notes in Computer
Science (LNCS) by Springer.

About the Venue:
The conference is being hosted by the Thiagarajar College of
Engineering, Madurai. One of the south India's oldest and greatest
temple towns, Madurai is synonymous with the celebrated Meenakshi
temple. Situated on the banks of river Vaigai, Madurai has a rich
cultural heritage passed on from the Tamil era more than 2500 years
old. Madurai was the capital city for the great Pandya kings and was
an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550
AD. Madurai is famous for Jasmine flowers, traditional food and
drinks. The city has been called the "Athens of the East" because of
its great architecture and meticulous planning.
