Calls for Proposals/Papers

At the PAMI TC Meeting, Tues June 19, at CVPR in Minneapolis, we will
vote on the teams and locations for CVPR09, which will be an "East
coast" event, and for WVM (Winter Vision Meetings) which will be a
"warm" location.

The CVPR proposal will need to include venue/hotel selections, primary
organizers and any proposed significant changes from usual CVPR
practices. The venue needs to be suitable for up to 1500 people, and
should include pricing. Transportation costs and logistics should be
addressed. In addressing costs it may be useful to know that the IEEE
is tax exempt in Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan,
Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Texas, Vermont, the
District of Columbia, and Wisconsin. Holding the meeting in a non-tax
exempt state means we pay 10-15% more for the meeting. If you are
putting together a proposal please contact T. Boult ahead of time.

We will also vote on the Winter Vision Meetings for the Winter
(2008/2009) season. Proposals need a location and approximate dates
and the organizers. WACV and Motion are standing meetings, but
organizers can proposal to include other workshops as well. This
meeting is NOT restricted to being a meeting in the US.
