The workshop is affiliated with ICONIP 2008 (15th International
Conference on Neural Information Processing of the Asia-Pacific Neural
Network Assembly), to be held at the Sky City Convention Centre in
Auckland City, from Nov. 25-27, 2008.  Therefore, registering for the
workshop entitles participants to attend both the conference (in
Auckland City) and the workshop (Massey University, Albany Campus).

Control; Robust Control; Networked Control System.

* Vision: Real-time object recognition; Feature extraction; pattern

Biometrics; Behaviour Recognition; Gesture Recognition; Applications.

* Automation: Process Automation, Planning and scheduling; Nano-scale
automation and assembly; Biomedical instrumentation; Modelling and
Simulation

* Robotics: Humanoid and mobile robotics; Search and Rescue;
Bio-robotics; Tele-robotics; Mechanism design and applications

Publication:

Accepted papers will be published in the Lecture Notes in Computer
Science series (Springer-Verlag), and selected papers will be invited
for publication in special issues of journals after the conference.

Papers will have to be submitted through the same paper submission
channel as ICONIP 08.  In the submission page, please tick the box
that corresponds to "WORKSHOP: Hybrid and Adaptive Systems for
Real-time Robotics Vision and Control".
