RA 2007

RA 2007 will take place from August 29 - 31, 2007.

Location

Considered the capital of Lower Franconia, Würzburg, Germany, dates back
to 1000 B.C. The Fortress Marienburg, the city's most prominent landmark,
was an ancient Celtic stronghold. Since then, Würzburg has evolved into
an artistic and religious centre for the region, boasting the Romanesque
St. Kilian's cathedral and the renowned Würzburg residence, a UNESCO
cultural treasure.

RA 2007

Robotics and Applications (RA 2007) will be an international forum for
researchers and practitioners interested in the advances in robotics and
the broad range of its applications. Specific emphasis will also be
placed on telerobotics, which is receiving increased attention due to the
tremendous progress in telecommunication and data processing
technologies. RA 2007 is an opportunity to present and observe the latest
research in robotics technologies, robotics applications, and
telerobotics and telematics.

Conference Chair

Prof. Dr. Klaus Schilling is Professor and Chair of the Robotics and
Telematics department at the Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg,
Germany. He is also Consulting Professor in the Department of Aeronautics
and Astronautics at Stanford University, USA, and Director of the ARS -
Steinbeis Centre for Computer Science.

Prof. Dr. Schilling's research interests include telematic methods,
mechatronic systems, multi-modal man-machine interfaces, and autonomous
control strategies.

Local Organizer

Florian Zeiger is a research assistant in the department of Robotics and
Telematics, under Prof. Dr. Schilling, at the Julius-Maximilians
University of Würzburg, Germany.

The RA 2007 International Program Committee is to be announced.
